Our story starts in November 2013 when the wife of a retired Ft. Campbell soldier was inspired by the intricate tapestry of cultures and cuisines she had experienced as an Army Wife. Having moved 17 times in 20 years, Niesha Wolfe had become a real “International Foodie” and loved the opportunities to sample different types of food wherever she and her family lived.

It was a summer trip to Ireland with her daughter, also a “Foodie”, that lit the fire under Niesha, a spark that would ignite into what we know today as The Gingham Café. Through her travels, Niesha discovered a hidden gem of community-style dining, as found throughout the pubs of Ireland. The Gingham Café stands true to its inspiration, continuing to operate from this philosophy — Food as a Communicator.
